Abstract

The Duckitts, pioneers of dairy farming at The Towers, Darling, set an example two centuries ago by maintaining a very comprehensive diary of weather data and the effect of 'climate change' on their agricultural activities. Those records showed that the climate is always changing and that plant successions are due to a whole variety of factors, not the least being grazing practices and variable weather patterns.
