The dairy industry is dynamic and stands on the verge of a new era filled with enormous opportunity and unlimited potential. However, future success hinges on continuous product innovation in new and novel ways in response to changing consumer needs. Innovation is the dairy industry's lifeblood and current consumer trends offer ample, exciting opportunities for innovation in dairy products and processes. Dairy products are positioned strongly, with their healthful array of nutrients, affordability and versatility of products. This was the key message at the Dairy Marketing Conference during World Dairy Summit 2013 in Yokohama, Japan.
