Abstract

All over the world, dairy production is becoming increasingly intensive. As operations become larger and more complex, the importance of pest and odour control also increases. Among pests, flies are a primary nuisance. Flies are not just a nuisance; they are a major cause of disease and economic hardship. They are involved in the transmission of more than 65 diseases to humans alone, including typhoid fever, dysentery, cholera and tuberculosis.
