Most farmers have heard the saying if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Applying this to dairy farming is apt, as the industry is indeed a hot kitchen. Those still in the industry have weathered a host of price fluctuations of milk and input costs and have managed to survive despite factors over which they have little or no control. Here are few pointers to keep that heat bearable.
