Abstract

Serving healthy snacks to children is important to provide good nutrition, support lifelong healthy eating habits and prevent costly and potentially debilitating diseases. Serving a dairy-based snack or lunch will build strong bones, as dairy foods are a great source of calcium. Some of the most important nutrients contained in dairy milk include calcium, protein, phosphorus, potassium, riboflavin, vitamin A, vitamin B, magnesium and zinc.
