Abstract

Lameness is the third-largest cause of income loss after poor fertility and mastitis, although some argue that it could be the number one cause of lost income in the herd. Unfortunately, there still seems to be a great deal of deliberation as to the true impact this disease has on the profit of the dairy herd.
