Cleanliness is next to Godliness, was the old expression. When it comes to perishables like milk and meat, this principle cannot be stressed enough - as we heard at Fairview in Paarl the other day when Mr Francois Cloete, a so-called seepsmous, addressed dairy technologists on microorganisms and other food-spoiling horrors we would rather not tolerate.
