Every red meat producer has to plan his operations properly in terms of his available natural resources, the genetic improvement of his herd, his animal health programme, risk prevention, financial planning and marketing strategy. It is equally important for the Red Meat Producers' Organisation to have a sound medium-term plan that will create an enabling environment in which the red meat industry can function optimally.
