Abstract

Today, two things constitute Rwanda. The first is in the past as the "joint possession of a rich legacy of memories", with the other in the present as "the current consent, the desire to live together, [and] the will to continue to uplift what one has received undivided." One of these things 'received undivided' is the concept and institution of the Gacaca justice system.
