The post-cold war era on the African continent has continued to be characterised by conflict and therefore, the search for long-term conflict resolution mechanisms continues. In this regard, widespread consensus has emerged that the panacea lies in implementing the model of parliamentary democracy characterised by a strong and effective parliament.
