Abstract

I suppose we could editorialise in the conventional way, and talk about breaking glass ceilings and then make a big song and dance about the new female chairperson of SAIPA. That's not only disingenuous, but the thinking is about ten years out of date. What is far more important is a single line in our interview with Rina Hattingh, the new chairperson of SAIPA, in which she talks about an individual contribution to helping build the prosperity of the country. This is a critical part of SAIPA'S ongoing vision and strategy as the wealth gap between the haves and the have-not's continues to grow at a pace that is moving from being simply worrying to alarming.
