Abstract

On 26 July 2013, the International criminal Court (ICC)'s Trust Fund for Victims called on non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to work closely with the Fund in areas of physical and psychological rehabilitation for the victims of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). The ICC call goes beyond an opportunity to assist Ugandan girls abducted by LRA soldiers who are taken to Central Africa as concubines and, in some cases, even trained as LRA soldiers and may also address the root causes of the war in northern Uganda that has lasted two decades.
