Abstract
The world got to know the Somalia-based terrorist group al-Shabaab on 21 September 2013, when its gunmen spectacularly attacked the Westgate Shopping Mall in Nairobi, Kenya, killing at least 67 shoppers,including children, gruesomely torturing others, injuring dozens and causing US$ 200 million in damages to Kenya's economy.
