Abstract

African peacekeeping missions need to reform - from concept to execution - as evidenced by years of unmet peacekeeping goals in Central and East Africa. Current peacekeepers are poorly utilised within an indecisive and overly militarised model, and can do little to reconcile deeply-rooted divisions and regional dysfunctions in the countries they are deployed to.
