Abstract

As Founding Editor of this report, which is a running analysis of the conflicts of Africa and their resolution, I am called upon by various global media organisations to comment on developments throughout the continent. While doing a British radio interview on the subject of a military coup d'état attempt against Burundi's government, I was struck by the shallowness of overall Western media coverage of the event. As all analysts feel, it was gratifying having a platform and the luxury of sufficient space to provide a truly comprehensive and meaningful examination of a topic.
