By ignoring directives of South African and international courts to arrest Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir, an accused war criminal, President Jacob Zuma, in collusion with AU leadership, removed parity between the country's executive and judiciary. The balance of power has diluted democracy and Rule of Law in both South Africa and the rest of the continent.
