Abstract

During the four week period reviewed by ACM's November 2015 report, conflict bedevilled Africa in its many forms, ranging from the predations of terror groups like Nigeria's Boko Haram and Somalia's al-Shabaab, to corruption in Mozambique and South Africa which does insidious violence to democratic institutions. However, like day following night, conflict resolution initiatives offset the bad news, including a promising plan to end Libya's civil war and anti-corruption as a campaign theme in Tanzania's national elections.
