Abstract

The conflict between African leaders and their peoples over who will run their countries continues, provoking violence in Burundi and the rejection of international jurisprudence in Kenya and South Africa in an attempt to neutralise international law. African people have fewer options for justice should rulers succeed in cutting ties with the International Criminal Court (ICC) which is able to hold criminally liable leaders accountable.
