Abstract

Despite being essentially a one-party state since independence, Namibia is an example of good governance and democracy. However, the ruling party's decision to withdraw from the International Criminal Court (ICC) is a troublesome setback with regard to respect of international justice. Namibia's efficiency in exploiting its natural resources has the country on pace for sustained economic growth. Greater efforts are required to address high unemployment and sharp income disparity.
