Abstract

The Boko Haram insurgency and the drop in global oil prices have led to a security crisis, sluggish economic growth, diminished government revenue and diminished the value of the naira. While capital controls imposed in lieu of the devaluation of the naira have placed major constraints on businesses, much-needed oil sector reforms will assist future economic performance.
