The Lower Cenomanian part of the Mzinene Formation of northern KwaZulu-Natal has yielded a diverse assemblage of representatives of the cosmopolitan ammonite subfamily Mantelliceratinae Hyatt, 1903. The following species are recognized: (J. Sowerby, 1814), Spath, 1926a, Hyatt, 1903, (d'Orbigny, 1850), (Sharpe, 1857), Spath, 1926b, Collignon, 1964, (Crick, 1907), (Stoliczka, 1864), (Boule, Lemoine & Thévenin, 1907), (Sharpe, 1855), (Collignon, 1931), (Choffat, 1903), sp. nov., Spath, 1925, sp. A, and sp. B. Spath, 1923, variously regarded as a synonym of and other genera by previous authors, is shown to be a valid genus, and a paedomorphic dwarf.
