Abstract

It is common knowledge that many Africans in key positions find it difficult to make decisions; or, if decisions are made, in the end, they prove to be wrong and irrelevant to the needs of the people and the country as a whole. This paper is divided into four sections. The first will discuss the concept of our topic and some of the factors influencing decision-making; the second will deal with the intellectual conditioning of the decision-makers; the third will examine the problems of mental dependency; and the last one will try to put forward a suggestion as to what could be done in the future.
