Abstract

This article addresses itself to two issues. First - to what extent is art taught in the black communities? And secondly, should black art education take on some particular form as distinct from white art education? In the first instance, this enquiry is of a purely factual nature. To what extent is art taught in the black communities? (For the purpose of this article I will not refer to the position of coloured or Indian education.)
