The rivers of Southern Africa, the Limpopo, the Zambezi and the Cunene, cleave the states in Africa apart rather than binding them together. On the Zambezi, three worlds touch: the old tribal Africa, rich with game and plant life; the thrusting cosmopolitan Africa; and Black and White ruled Africa. The interface at the Zambezi is not only a physical point of contact of these worlds, but the Fall's bridge not long ago became a symbol of contact between the states involved in Southern African d�tente.
