Abstract

Thirty individuals of <I>Agama aculeata&lt;/I&gt; from South Africa were examined for helminths. One species of Cestoda, <I>Oochoristica truncata&lt;/I&gt; and three species of Nematoda, <I>Abbreviata paradoxa, Thubunaea Fitzsimonsi&lt;/I&gt; and <I>Parapharyngodon rotundatus</I>, were found. <I>Oochoristica truncata&lt;/I&gt; was present in largest number (808), had the highest prevalence (90%) and the greatest mean intensity of infection (29.9). <I>Oochoristica truneata, A. paradoxa, T. fitzsimonsi&lt;/I&gt; and <I>P. rotundatus&lt;/I&gt; in <I>A. aculeata&lt;/I&gt; are new host records
