Abstract

A recently completed research project funded by the Western Cape Department of Agriculture's LandCare programme, has shown the extent to which conservation farming in the Western Cape has improved soil organic carbon levels. The average increase in soil organic carbon, from thirteen different sites, was 0.31%, with six of the sites achieving results between this and the highest increase of 1.53%.
