This thermometer may be used for measuring air temperature, soil temperature and relative humidity (by measuring wet and dry bulb temperatures. The lag coefficient of the constructed sensors varied between 80 and 90 seconds, which is adequate for this type of agrometeorological work. Nineteen resistance thermometers were calibrated and a statistical analysis showed that there were no significant differences between the resistance thermometers. It was estimated that temperature could be measured to an accuracy of � 0 ,1 �C.
