oa Agrochemophysica - Elutriation as an aid in soil particle size analysis

A simple elutriation procedure for removing silt and clay particles from a dispersed suspension was found to give results comparable to those obtained using the conventional sedimentation and siphoning technique. Particle size distributions within separated fractions are similar for both methods. Factors influencing the efficiency and accuracy of both methods are discussed.
