oa Agrochemophysica - The relationship between resin-extract able phosphorus and phosphate potentials for sandy soils of the Hutton and Clovelly forms

The relationship between anion exchange resin-extractable ? content and phosphate potential was studied for sandy soils of the Hutton and Clovelly forms. It was found that the soils of the two forms could be grouped together for this relationship. The relationship is logarithmic and basically consists of two parts: at extremely low resin-P contents P-potentials drop sharply with increasing resin-P content, but at higher resin-P contents P-potentials decrease only slightly with increasing resin-P content. The first part of the relationship apparently is an indication of the phosphate fixing capacity of a soil. For the soils under discussion this fixation capacity is very small.
