A method for the routine analysis of 35S by means of liquid scintillation counting is descriptionbed. Sulphur compounds are oxidised to sulphate which is then precipitated as calcium sulphate in an alcohol medium directly in the counting vials and counted as such. It compares favourably with a universal scintillator system and efficiencies of 85% are obtained.
