Abstract

Permanent foreign 'interest' in the Congolese land lies at the root of the war that has devastated the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) since the 1990s. This article deals with the land question and the issue of natural resources in the DRC. Its main argument is that of an international complot hatched by the dominating capitalist elite in the West, especially in Anglo-Saxon countries, and their 'peripheral allies' on the African continent, including in the DRC. Accordingly, the 'business of war' has been booming with 'partners' interested in the perpetuation of 'chaos' in this country with a view to controlling its immense natural resources. The Congolese people should organise to defeat this complot and build a democratic and prosperous country that contributes to an African renaissance.
