Abstract

Hormonal methods of contraceptive have been known world-wide for more than 30 years and yet its use in the Republic of South Africa (RSA) is limited. This article focuses on the nurses' knowledge about, attitudes towards and perceptions of providing emergency contraceptives to their clients in the Northern Tshwane (previously known as Pretoria North) area. A qualitative, exploratory, descriptionptive and contextual research design was used.
