Abstract

Management of sport, recreation and leisure activities attracts huge investments in human and material resources in many parts of the world. However, a major challenge to the success in these activity areas is the growing trend in sedentariness and physical inactivity especially among the youths and this is exercerbated by over-dependence on modern technology and unhealthy lifestyles. Therefore, in order to combat this modern threat, we need to devise strategies to promote people's participation in sport, recreation and physical activity and sustain their interest.
