Tourism constitutes one of the most vibrant and important industries that earn a lot of revenue for governments all over the world thus boosting their economies as well as their Gross National Products (GNPs). This industry has a lot of diversity, is very rich in all aspects of its components which include ecotourism, heritage tourism, adventure tourism, environmental tourism, hospitality, small and large scale businesses, nature and conservation, environmental management and energy studies, tourism geography, domestic and international tourism, niche tourism, and a host of others. Not only are these areas relevant nationally, but they are also pertinent internationally. AJPHERD is pleased to publish the 23 well-written and focussed articles on various issues and aspects of tourism in this issue of its supplement.
