Abstract


An increasing demand exists to quantify impacts of agricultural management practices on biological properties of soil. Despite variations in soil microbial biodiversity and enzyme activities within a season under different cropping systems and tillage practices, preliminary results indicated that reduced tillage practices had a more favourable effect on soil microbial community dynamics than conventional tillage practices.
