Cured fish meal, i.e. oxidized, and fish meals partially protected from oxidation were included in broiler diets at a level of 20 per cent and compared with diets containing either fat extracted fish meal or non-fish protein supplements. Experimental diets were fed ad lib. to White Cornish Game x White Plymouth Rock crossbred chickens from day old to 67 days. Growth rate and feed conversion were recorded and cooked meat samples from all the experimental diets were subjected to two separate taste panels for flavour rating.
