Abstract

Sheep losing different quantities of mass with subsequent realimentation all had the same final wool production under the conditions of this experiment. The wool production of sheep which reached 93, 85, 80, 70 and 65 % of their initial body mass of approximately 46 kg in 16 weeks were respectively 100, 83, 84, 60 and 59 % of that of the control group on 88 % of maintenance feeding.
