Abstract

The data of 30 pregnant Landrace gilts, slaughtered on day 110 of pregnancy, were used to furnish protein and energy requirements for predetermined gains in live mass, body component composition and foetal development. A further aim was to determine the gross efficiencies of utilization of dietary energy (ME) and protein for the various functions mentioned.
