A comparative study of Ananteroides feae Borelli, 1911, descriptionbed from Cacondo (Rio Cassine) in Portuguese Guinea (today Bissau) and of several species belonging to the neotropical genus Ananteris Thorell, 1891, demonstrates that Ananteroides is a synonym of Ananteris. Ananteris (Buthidae) becomes the second known scorpion genus with a possible Gondwana distribution. The other genus being Opisthacanthus (Ischnuridae).
