Abstract

In an automatic review in terms of sections 302 and 304 of the Criminal Procedure Act No 51 of1977 (the Act), the court assessed the importance of considering pre-sentence reports before sentencing young offenders. It appeared that K, a young and unrepresented offender was sentenced, on a guilty plea, to three years imprisonment.
