Extracted from text ... 3 At long last the Child Justice Bill seems set to enter the Parliamentary domain in 2002, Cabinet having received the Bill in November. Amidst this development, we are delighted to be able to bring news of a number of new projects, initiatives and practice developments that are already taking place to further the process of implementation. In this issue of ARTICLE 40 we feature research on the pilot projects involving assistant probation officers, which concludes that such persons can play a valuable role in furthering the assessment, diversion and reintegration of children.
