Abstract

Extracted from text ... 7 Introduction The National Assembly of The Gambia in June this year enacted the Children's Act 2005. This Act incorporates all laws relating to children, including child justice administration. It was enacted to strengthen the legislative and institutional framework relating to the protection of the rights of children in The Gambia in line with its international obligations under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child.
