Abstract

This paper looks at the technological skills available in the rural areas of Namibia, using Omusati and Omaheke regions as a case study. The contention is that rural areas, in general, trail behind in the development process because the technological skills which they possess have remained untapped. The paper argues that if these skills are developed they could foster development in the rural areas and alleviate the economic plight of the rural population.
