Abstract

Dr Goodheart, a paediatrician known to us from previous articles in our PID 123 series, is handling the case of an 11-year-old girl, Tamsyn.

Tamsyn comes from a fairly affluent family. She is doing well at school and loves sport. She plays both tennis and hockey. Her brother, Isaac, has previously been seen by Dr Goodheart and was diagnosed with 'transient hypogammaglobulinemia of infancy'.
