The purpose of this paper is to provide information on the nest architecture and host plants of Eardley, an endemic species of the South African winter rainfall area. is an Afrotropical genus comprising ten species of solitary bees occurring in South Africa, Namibia, Kenya and Tanzania with its centre of species diversity in the winter rainfall area of western South Africa (Michez , in press).
