This is an ex-post factor design. .This study investigated the influence of reflective and impulsive cognitive styles on students' achievement in Mathematics. The study was guided by four research questions, two null hypotheses that were tested at 0.05 levels of significant. The population consisted of all the 40 senior secondary school in Bida Local Government Area of Niger State. three hundred (i.e 150 reflective and 150 impulsive) students, drawn from the Senior Secondary Schools, using multi-stase and Purposive Sampling Technique, constituted the sample of the study instruments for data collection included the students Cognitive Styles Questionnaire (SCSQ) and Mathematics Achievement Test (MAT). Data collected were analyzed using mean (X), standard deviation (SD) and t-test. The finding of the study shows that reflective students achieved significantly higher than their impulsive counterpart in Mathematics Achievement. It was also not consistent across gender levels. Recommendation among which include, teachers should use reflective strategies in integrating with students in the classroom, especially in mathematics. And other science related disciplines were made.
