LOCAL GOVERNMENT SUPPLIER 2005 - 65 Established by an Act of Parliament, the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is a body focusing mainly on promoting public safety, health and interests. ECSA derives its powers and responsibilities from the Engineering Profession Act 46 of 2000. The Engineering Council operates out of an office in Bruma, Johannesburg, where a staff compliment of approximately 40 people carries out all the administrative functions of the organisation.
