Abstract

In November last year, just off the M1 South onramp at the Grayston / Wynberg Drive intersection, heavy rains burst a storm drain. Mud, rocks and other debris spewed onto the highway, blocking one lane. Days passed before anything was done about it. Now, more than two months later, the damaged storm drain has still not been repaired and is a serious, and potentially deadly, hazard for pedestrians using the bordering dirt road and vehicles taking the M1 South onramp.
