Abstract

The South African National Roads Agency Ltd (SANRAL) is spending billions upgrading Gauteng's highways to relieve the province's chronic rush hour traffic congestion. While this is being done, traffic flow, unfortunately, is being impacted. However, the civil engineering contractors involved are doing everything that can be done to minimise traffic flow disruptions. In fact, it is quite exemplary as to how far SANRAL and the contractors involved have gone to ensure traffic flows smoothly. Nonetheless, traffic does back up.
