Abstract

Drug fever should be suspected when fever occurs when a drug is administered or shortly thereafter, when the patient's temperature rises unexpectedly during a course of drug therapy, or when there are other indications of hypersensitivity, such as rash, eosinophilia, urticaria, or serum sickness.
